This seminar is designed to help church and ministry leaders understand and manage mental illnesses within the church. The seminar includes teaching components about the different types of illnesses and crises that may arise in the church and ministry organizations and suggest management solutions and resources available within Wellspring and beyond.

This is a listening skills class designed for anyone wishing to love people well and communicate better with family and friends through the skill and art of listening well. 3) Parenting
Intentional Parenting
* Based on the book "Intentional Parenting" By Sissy Goff *
"Being an intentional parent means you study your intention, your purpose in parenting." Sissy Goff. Intentional parenting is an approach that uses strategies to build a healthy parent-child relationship. In this talk, Wellspring discusses the 5Cs (or characteristics) parents desire for their children – confidence, character, conviction, compassion, and competence and how to develop them through intentional parenting. This talk defines three types of intentional parenting styles and encourages parents to evaluate their purpose and importance in the role they play as a parent.

Parenting in the Digital Age
Are you concerned about your relationship with your child? Do you wonder who is influencing your kids? Are you worried that you are losing your kids to technology and social media? In this talk, Wellspring shares tangible tools for intentional parenting; empowers parents in setting healthy boundaries and discipline; and explores the influence of social media and technology on youth.

Are My Kids on Track?
Parents and caregivers play an important and essential role in their child’s emotional, social, and spiritual success. In this talk, Wellspring will provide parents with knowledge and practical ways to guide their children to developmental landmarks and address stumbling blocks in each of the following areas:
Emotional Development – Giving parents the tools to help their child identify, understand, and regulate positive and negative emotions.
Social Development – Teaching parents the importance of instilling heathy social boundaries, awareness of others, empathy, and reciprocity in their child’s life
Spiritual Development – Encouraging parents in their own faith, spiritual growth and understanding how their walk with the Lord influences and encourages their child’s faith journey.

4) Trauma
Trauma – Informed Care Series
Leaders are often first-responders when church and ministry constituents go through traumatic losses or events. Our trauma training seeks to equip leaders to better understand the dynamics of trauma and its ramifications, and to assist traumatized members. This seminar also addresses self-care for caregivers.
Topics included: What is Trauma? How to Recover from Trauma? Caring for the Traumatized.
