  1. Who is a Wellspring Affiliate?

A Wellspring Affiliate is a vetted therapist who is likeminded to Wellspring and who agrees to cross-refer clients with Wellspring. Wellspring agrees to send clients seeking like-minded therapists in other states to the Affiliate. The Affiliate agrees to promote Wellspring’s unique programs and education to their clients when appropriate.

  2.  Why does Wellspring want to have Affiliates?

Wellspring is becoming a trusted source for finding professional, licensed therapists who are also reliably Christians. As our audience has begun to attract a national reach, we are often asked if we know of therapists with licenses in other states. We would like to refer potential clients to therapists who we are confident endorsing.

  3. What are the advantages of becoming a Wellspring Affiliate?

    1. New client referrals. When Wellspring has inquiries about like-minded therapists practicing in other states, the inquirer will be given the Affiliates contact information.

    2. Branding boost. The Affiliate increases their own brand by associating with a larger, solid, Christian and professional brand.

    3. Access to a professional support community. Affiliates of Wellspring are invited to join Wellspring therapist team to choose a-la-carte from a variety of professional support opportunities:

      • Best-Practice Training – $29 for live webinar, $19 for recorded webinar. 2-hour training, offered monthly, regarding clinical growth topics for therapists from a Christian perspective. Note, the price will be higher if CEU’s are included.

      • Group Case Consultation - $60 for a two-hour session, online, with up to 6 professionals in a group.

      • Individual Case Consultation - $120 for 50-minute session with an experienced, skilled supervisor, relative to type of caseload or issues being presented.

      • Clinician Care Group - $20 per session to share and receive encouragement from up to 8 other clinicians regarding the personal effects of working as a therapist, and healthy therapist self-care.

    4. Access to training and certification to utilize Wellspring’s trauma therapy programs. Wellspring’s evidence-based, copyrighted group trauma recovery programs for youth (Bounce) and adults (Restore) are now available to be used with individual clients.

  4. What is required to be endorsed as a Wellspring Affiliate?

There is a short application process which includes submitting information about your practice, skills, fees, location(s), and answers to some short essay questions. You also must submit proof of your current license, specialties, and professional liability insurance. There is an application fee of $29 which can be used as a credit to attend a live Wellspring Best Practice webinar (within 1 year).

  5. Does everyone who applies get accepted as an Affiliate?

No. The therapist must be able to demonstrate their like-mindedness to Wellspring through the application process and a personal phone conversation. Further, at this point, we are only endorsing 2 therapists per state. Once these are filled, we will not add more Affiliates to a state until the client requests for that state increase.

  6. What does it mean to be “like-minded” to Wellspring?

As a trusted brand, a therapist who is like-minded to Wellspring has the following qualities:

    1. Professional – They maintain all ethical and legal standards relative to their state licensure as a therapist.

    2. Skilled – They have proven training or expertise in any specialties for which they promote themselves as having advanced skills.

    3. Personally Christian – The clinician is personally practicing the Christian faith, continually striving to grow in Bible knowledge, fellowship with other believers, and in applying the Word of God to their personal life. As a professional therapist, their faith and politics are not imposed upon their clients but is rather modeled in their Christ-like behavior and offered specifically only when clients seek to include their faith in their therapy.

    4. Kingdom Building – The therapist is focused on building the Kingdom of God at large. This includes not personally promoting themselves, not competing for clients with other practitioners, and instead seeking to help build others up for success in their Kingdom work.

    5. Integrity – The therapist practices with the utmost integrity, which includes financial and personal transparency, honesty in all business dealings, respect for others and their professional and intellectual assets.

    6. Intentionally Growing – The therapist believes that they are on a similar journey as their clients are; Wellspring calls this our “we are they” philosophy. They “practice what they preach” by intentionally growing toward healthy maturity on mental and spiritual spectrums (boundaries, communication, self-care, insight, working circle, etc.)

  7. What is required of the Affiliate to promote Wellspring’s unique programs?

Wellspring offers several unique offerings that clients in other states may utilize: 1) mental health education from a Christian perspective through webinars, blogs and email subscriptions, 2) intensive trauma resolution therapy in Miami at set times which can supplement or jumpstart great therapy work with Affiliate’s existing clients; 3) support education and referral resources for clients from a professional and Biblical perspective. Wellspring asks the Affiliates to be aware of Wellspring’s resources and promote them with their clients when appropriate.
